September and October have a fantastic mix of multiplayer and strategy titles. Lemnis Gate releases at the end of September and introduces a brand new type of multiplayer shooter that injects the genre with a turn-based strategy. The game features a sci-fi setting with players utilizing teams of heroes to try and capture various objectives in an impressive reimagining of the genre. For players who are looking for a more cooperative experience, Back 4 Blood tasks players with fighting against hordes of zombies. Developed by the studio behind Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, Back 4 Blood has received a very positive reception from its beta and playtests.
For players who are looking for a more strategy-centric experience, Phoenix Point is being added to the service and is developed by some of the original creators of the classic series X-COM. Halo Infinite, on the other hand, releases just before the holidays as the newest entry in the legendary FPS series. The game promises to bring some exciting new features to the game, like a campaign that features an open-world structure and a new free-to-play multiplayer mode. 2021 Xbox Game Pass Day One Additions Without Dates
Scorn Hello Neighbor 2 The Anacrusis
There is also a handful of day one games that Xbox Game Pass has reported will come to the service before the end of the year despite not having solidified release dates yet. The first of these is Scorn. Scorn is a terrifying first-person horror title that is inspired by the works of H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski and features some truly disturbing fleshy imagery. The developers at Ebb Software have shown off Scorn’s impressive visuals, and it looks like an incredible game for horror fans to check out. Hello Neighbor 2 is a bit more colorful horror game that utilizes some impressive AI to react and learn from the actions of the player as they break into the house across the street from their home.
The Anacrusis, on the other hand, is a very ambitious co-op shooter with a sleek science fiction setting. The game looks similar to the likes of Left 4 Dead with four players fighting off hordes of monsters, and the developers have said that it boasts a unique mechanic that helps The Anacrusis have infinite replay value. The game comes from the studio Stray Bombay and is the studio’s very first game, which makes its new systems and technology all the more impressive.
Of course, Xbox announces more games coming to Xbox Game Pass every month, so the list of titles coming at the end of 2021 will only get even stronger as it nears. It will be very interesting to see what else comes to the service, especially in 2022 as more titles for the Xbox Series X/S start being added. Xbox has already announced some of the titles that fans can expect to come to the service in 2022 with titles like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Fable. Hopefully, Xbox can continue to invest in the service and continue to make it an even more attractive deal for fans and players on Xbox and PC.
